About Us

North Georgia Angel House is home to 31 girls ranging in ages from 12-21.  The home has seven bedrooms and four bathrooms with a large spa tub for relaxing. Our kitchen takes on the aroma of a restaurant in the evenings as the girls practice their Independent Living Skills with menu planning and preparation in a supervised setting.

When the girls are not cooking or relaxing in their rooms, they may be found in the family room where community meetings are held to problem solve. Community Meetings consist of problem solving skills and real life issues that the girls share with others to seek input from their peers.

Whether it’s reading, enjoying friends or completing routine chores at home, our girls function as part of one large extended family. Both Individual and Group Therapy are held on and off site as well as supervised Family Time. Tutoring is available to students who want to improve their academic success.

Our primary function is to give girls the skills necessary to reach emancipation and succeed.  We strive to teach our girls money management, conflict resolution, time management, menu planning, family planning, resume writing, employment skills and many others workshops to help reach self-sufficiency.

Angel House takes great pride in serving all girls in Northern Georgia for both short and long term stays. Please visit our Transitional and Independent Living Page to learn more about these programs.

2015 Milestones

2019 Lake Arrowhead Charity Golf Tournament

May 4th, 2019 at 0830 is the 7th Annual Lake Arrowhead Charity Golf Tournament!  Each year, funds raised from this event cover the cost of items otherwise unavailable to us.  With the generosity of Lake Arrowhead, we have been able to purchase a van, replace all windows in the home, take the girls on two vacations a year to the beach and Pigeon Forge, furnish several rooms in the home, purchase clothing and supplies for girls, and countless other items.  This year, our goal is to replace a leaking roof and have the ceilings scraped and painted from the water damage.  Come earn your wings and have some fun!  We’re counting on you!

Publix Gives Back

For two years in a row, Publix has lived up to it’s name “Service With a Smile” by descending upon our home for a day of service.  Over 50 volunteers has shown up to paint, landscape, clean up, socialize and get to know more about us.  We so appreciate the leadership of Lonnie Peplau Store Manager in helping to organize, fund, and lead this team each year.  Thank you so much for all that you do to make our house a home.

April 2018

Publix gives back by spending a “day of service” on our campus.  Over 50 Publix employees emerged on our campus this month to paint decks, plant flowers, hang swings and strengthen our roots.  Thank you Publix!  We love you!
